The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), supporting its modernization and migration to Microsoft Azure. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and public health professionals, to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation that meets standards and supports project goals.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Technical Writer for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Support the modernization and migration of EDW to Microsoft Azure.
- Assist with large volume data processing, statistical analysis, and the creation of a centralized data model.
- Plan, coordinate, and respond to data reporting needs; set standards and define documentation frameworks.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain user guides, business requirements, technical documentation, test plans, and project process documentation.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders, public health professionals, business analysts, developers, and system/database administrators.
- Participate in requirements gathering, testing, and documentation for EDW-related projects and initiatives.
- Manage multiple assignments, track progress, and ensure timely delivery against project timelines.
- Participate in and present during status, process, and deliverable reviews, as well as software quality assurance activities.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Ensure documentation meets standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform data analysis to validate data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Utilize SQL Server, T-SQL, scripts, and queries for data analysis and validation.
- Create process models, diagrams, wireframes, and other visual documentation to guide development teams.
- Organize and maintain documentation libraries, templates, and quality standards; recommend improvements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and data to varied audiences clearly and concisely.
- Work with Agile/Scrum and Azure DevOps methodologies.
- Balance work across multiple projects and coordinate with various teams.
- Prepare weekly timesheet and status reporting.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years in technical writing
- Experience in requirements analysis
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with Azure DevOps
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in public health or healthcare data and applications
Special Considerations:
- Must reside in Pennsylvania.
- Must work onsite 1 day per month (subject to manager's discretion).
